Creatively I work with sellers to determine the most advantageous way to market their property. The internet with smashing photographs gives the best exposure, particularly through Sotheby's International Realty's world-wide connections.
I personally show all of my listings. My preference is to handle only three transactions at the same time. I am a keen negotiator, preferring compromise to the hard line by pursuing new angles and avenues. Close attention is paid to the progress of closing the sale. Should a problem occur, I will work tirelessly to solve it. Real estate brings out my business acumen, feel for future trends, flair for staging and decorating, and seeing the potential in every property. With an eye for aesthetic appeal and intimate knowledge of established neighborhoods and expertise in selling older houses, I can find my buyer the perfect house.
Richmond, my home town, is full of beautiful historic houses for which I have a passion. I know them well, growing up in one and presently living in an 150 year old house in Richmond's oldest neighborhood, historic Church Hill. Every old house is unique, as each owner has left their mark. Updates and renovations can be a challenge, but always interesting. Prior to becoming a real estate agent 28 years ago, I created a line of clothing with special fabrics called MAFE originals. Before that, I founded a nursery school for three year olds, a novelty at the time and a delight for thirteen years.
I have traveled extensively, including Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. I received a BA from Hollins University, which included a year in Paris living with a French family. I am conversant in French.
