Director of Relocation & Corporate Services Nikki Smith works closely with transferees, relocation management companies & corporate clients to make sure that the transition from start to finish goes smoothly. Drawing from her professional experiences in the business and several of her own personal family moves, Nikki strives to achieve the highest level of service for each transferee. She knows each move is different, so assessing individual needs is what makes her job so rewarding. Nikki matches her client with the best agent, creating a partnership for buyers and sellers alike. Defining a successful move for Nikki is simple, “It’s all about pleasing the client & taking care of their needs. If we have done that, than we have done our jobs.”
Nikki is very active in the industry and is a member of Worldwide ERC. She holds the Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) & Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) designations. She is currently the Membership Chairman for the local Greater Richmond Relocation Council and enjoys attending the meetings twice a year. A career highlight was her development of a panel that she moderated for the Global Workforce Symposium in 2011. Titled, “Pre-Decision Teamwork: Helping Transferees Make Informed Decisions,” Nikki stressed the importance of making sure the relocation was right not only for the corporation, but also for the transferee. For both parties, examining the costs involved and long term benefits or losses was crucial to moving forward with an offer or not.
Moving here in 2007 with her husband and daughter, Nikki considers herself a part of the Richmond landscape. She takes advantage of everything the area offers; downtown dining, James River rafting, trail riding at Pocahontas State Park and shopping our two fabulous outdoor malls, Short Pump Towne Center and Stony Point Fashion Park. Nikki looks forward to growing the local relocation business with The Steele Group Sotheby’s International Realty and is excited for the future ahead!
